At the Island Green teaching facility, we are redefining the way people learn to play golf. Our certified golf professionals help students develop and practice the fundamentals of a great golf swing. Our coaching programs are affordable, proactive, and successful. We offer a variety of instructions for all ages and skill levels.

Beginner

If you are a beginner, our lessons focus on the fundamentals of your golf swing so you can make consistent contact with every swing you take!

Juniors

Young golfers from beginner to immediate skill level – we can help! These lessons are an ideal way to get kids to learn the game and continuously advance their golf skills in a dynamic environment.

Ladies

Our ladies lessons are tailored to teach women of all skill levels the fundamentals of the game in a relaxed and social setting.

Intermediate/
advanced

The best golfers in the world continue to work on their swing and so should you! Intermediate and advanced golfers can benefit from working with one of our certified instructors.

Our Instructors

Curley Bishop, JR.

Instructor

Curley was born and raised in Frederick County, Maryland, attending elementary school through college in the area. He started playing golf at age 15 and earned his first sub-70 score after 10 months. He is self-taught but adheres to the PGA teaching philosophy. Curley gained experience from over 300 professional golf events, ranging from one-day mini tour events to the PGA Tour itself. He has competed in six PGA Tour qualifying schools. Curley loves the game of golf and is the sport’s ultimate ambassador.

Tyler Eikenberg

Instructor

Tyler was born in Grasonville, MD in 1992. He graduated from Eckerd College in 2011. He is the youngest of the professionals at the Island Green and adheres to PGA teaching methods. Tyler is a Level 1 PGA apprentice with over 20 years of playing experience and five years of teaching experience.
